Thank you for considering Valley Oaks Charter School for your homeschooling needs! Follow the steps below to begin your journey.

Bakersfield, Taft, or Frazier Park (TK – 8th Grade)

  1. Attend Orientation: Sign up for a mandatory parent orientation.

  2. Submit Application: Fill out the application provided at orientation and return it to the office with required documents.
  3. Review: Administration will review your application.
  4. Assignment: A Resource Teacher is assigned to your student.
  5. Conference: An initial meeting is scheduled with your family.

Bakersfield (High School)

  1. Attend Orientation: Sign up for a mandatory parent orientation.

  3. Review: Administration reviews all submitted forms.
  4. Advisor Assigned: An Advisor is assigned to support your family.
  5. Conference: An initial meeting is scheduled with your family.

Tehachapi (TK – 12th Grade)
