🤝 Parent & Student Roles ▼

•	Parent Educator: Provide direct daily instruction for 4–6 hours daily depending on grade level.
•	Record Keeping: Grade all completed work and monitor student progress weekly through Google Classroom and Aeries.
•	Meetings: Meet in person with a VOCS Resource Teacher at least once every twenty (20) school days.
•	Student Growth: Turn in satisfactory, completed original work on or before due dates.

🚗 Parking Lot & Gate Procedures ▼

Campus Entry	All vehicles entering the high school/warehouse portion must enter through the north gate off Chester Ave. No entrance or exit is permitted through the front office when gates are open.
Lane System	Features a Drop-Off Lane (no waiting or parking; follow cones) and a separate Parking Lane for designated spaces only.
Campus Exit	All vehicles must exit onto Chester Ave from the designated middle gate. The inner gate between elementary and high school is closed during drop-off/pick-up.
Gate Access	Student access gates (North and South) operate on scheduled morning and afternoon windows varying by day (e.g., Mondays 8:40–9:05 AM).

🏫 Academic & Extracurricular Programs ▼

Enrichment	Available for grades TK-8 in good academic standing. TK-6th meet Wednesday mornings; 7th-8th meet Wednesday afternoons. No peanut products or toys allowed.
Jr. High Academy	Direct writing and math instructional support for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Runs 1st and 2nd periods on designated days with tutoring on Fridays.
Music & Drama	Provides weekly instrumental lessons (brass, woodwind, piano, guitar), choral programs (Tiny Trebles/Glee), and Drama Club theatrical productions.
Field Trips	Sign-ups and payments must be handled via the front desk or Stripe with a physical permission slip brought to the event. A two “no-show” rule applies before privileges are suspended.

🛡️ Campus Policies & Safety ▼

Cell Phones	Effective July 1, 2026 (BP 5131.8): All personal devices (phones, smartwatches, tablets) must be powered off or silent and stored completely out of sight during instructional times. Violations result in warning or immediate confiscation.
Visitors	Must check in and out at the front desk using the Raptor system with a valid ID. Temporary stickers must be worn in plain sight at all times.
Dress Code	Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be mid-thigh length or longer. Tops must cover midriff and chest with straps at least 1 inch wide. Politically motivated, disruptive, or vulgar attire is prohibited.
Probation	Triggered by turning in less than 70% of days possible on the AWR, missing meetings, or uncompleted work. Fulfilling terms requires weekly teacher check-ins; unfulfilled terms result in disenrollment.
Vaping/Tobacco	Possession, use, or being under the influence of tobacco, nicotine, or e-cigarettes (vapes) is strictly prohibited across all campuses, field trips, and events.
Integrity & AI	Work must be original. AI tools may only be used ethically for research or brainstorming with teacher permission and proper citation; AI cannot be used to execute assignments or essays.
