Thank you for considering Valley Oaks Charter School for your homeschooling needs.

Here are the steps to homeschool with Valley Oaks Charter School for the Bakersfield, Taft, or Frazier Park Elementary:

  1. Sign up for a mandatory parent orientation:

  2. An application will be given to you after orientation.
  3. Fill out and sign application and return to the office with the required documents.
  4. VOCS administration will review the application.
  5. A resource teacher is assigned to the family and student.
  6. A conference is scheduled with the family.

Here are the steps to homeschool with Valley Oaks Charter School for the Bakersfield, Taft, or Frazier Park High School:

  1. Sign up for a mandatory parent orientation:

  3. VOCS administration reviews the application.
  4. An advisor is assigned to the family and student.
  5. A conference is scheduled with the family.

Here are the steps to homeschool with Valley Oaks Charter School for the Tehachapi site (Elementary and High School):

  1. Please call 661-825-2200 to sign up for an orientation.
  2. An application will be given to you after orientation.
  3. VOCS administration reviews the application.
  4. A resource teacher or advisor is assigned to the family and student.
  5. A conference is scheduled with the family.
